Kid Counseling is a student-run peer counseling program started by amazing students who wanted to help engage, encourage, and lift up fellow students. Established in 2023 by Ada Baistrocchi our student President, who wanted to create an opportunity for children to help children. The reason she wanted children to lead the program is so that children would feel comfortable sharing and never feel like they would be in trouble. This team of students has also partnered with Mick Rabin from our district's central office to form an Ally Action Team at Ericson. The goal of this is to create a safe anti- bullying campus. They learn the importance of being an ally to students. Students receive training and volunteer their time during recess and lunch recess.
We are proud to say this is an evolving and growing group of Ericson student leaders. We know that this experience not only makes us have a safer campus but also help children find their leadership voice.
