SDUSD ENROLLMENT GUIDE
KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION for 2024-2025:
Registration for our UTK and Kindergarten classes is OPEN NOW.
- Children need to be 4 by September 1st, 2024, to be eligible for Kindergarten in the 2024-2025 school year.
- Please be sure to bring required documents when registering your child (see below for more information).

Registration Documents for Kindergarten:
To register, please attach the following required documents:
- Proof of birth date (original birth certificate, passport, or military ID)
- Two (2) proof of residency (deed to home, escrow papers, rent receipt/agreement, utility bills)
- Immunization Record (signed by physician). The law requires that children be up-to-date on their immunizations (shots) to attend school.
Children entering Kindergarten should have:
- 5 DTaP - 4 doses meet requirement if at least one was given on or after the 4th birthday
- 4 Polio - 3 doses meet requirement if at least one was given on or after the 4th birthday
- 3 Hep B2 MMR (1st dose on or after 1st birthday)
- 1 Varicella
California Law states children enrolling in a public school have to meet required Immunization. If not, the school cannot enroll the child.
REGISTRATION for NEW STUDENTS to the District:
To register, please attach the following required documents:

REGISTRATION for TRANSFER STUDENTS within San Diego Unified:
To register, please bring the following required document:
